By signing the registration form you have commited two hours per adult for each garden share level. This is dependent on the number of adults in the membership, not the size of the share. Please keep in mind that the work is not limited to grueling labor in the fields. Rather, we will provide many options including paperwork and running farm-related errands,for example. When signing up for a work day, we encourage you to consider tasks you enjoy doing the most, or would like to know more about. We ask that you come with open minds and a willingness to share in the farm experience. If you cannot envision a task most fitting for you please let us know and we will work with you!

Last year, we recieved a 50% parcipitation and hope to see that rise in the future. The amount of positive feedback on this addition to the farm overwhelmed the negative. Members that came out found it enjoyable to work alongside the plants that were producing their food and meet their growers as well. We even had a couple whose kids played in the garden while they weeded pepper plants. They said it was the best date they had had in a while.  Please continue to support this addition to the farm, as it is extremely helpful during those hard to get to task.

Last year we tried to formulate a schedule to give people a heads up on when big task would be approaching. We found it very difficult to stick to this schedule as the season varies from year to year. Therefore, this year we will make it less complicated. Please look for group and individual work day opportunities in the newsletter and bulk emails. We should be able to better identify when certain tasks will arise a couple of weeks prior to the date.

If you feel like you have a certain day that will work best with your schedule. Please contact us with the date and time you are available. We will do our best to make sure that we have a fitting job for you at that time.
